    ABOUT YOUR HOSTS
Serena Malkani will lead us through a voice-activating meditation to develop a deeper connection with our voices and how we use them. You will also learn simple tuning exercises that can help calm the nervous system within minutes. After the meditation, Serena will teach us some powerful ancient self-care rituals derived from the 5000-year-old Indian system of natural medicine, Ayurveda. You will also discover your dosha - your unique ayurvedic mind-body type. Serena will leave us with easy-to-implement daily rituals that balance your dosha and enhance your wellness routine.

Serena Malkani, M.A. is an internationally recognized sound ritualist and clinical Ayurvedic advisor. Serena’s mission is to bring awareness to ancient Eastern practices and how they complement and enhance the Western approach to wellness. She integrates her psychology expertise with the medicinal qualities of Sound, Ayurveda, and Yoga to develop long-term preventative healthcare rituals. Serena currently offers private training to psychedelic-assisted therapists and other health practitioners on how to implement voice-based healing tools into client sessions. Nidhi (Niv) Patel will lead a yoga session to deepen the energy practice. Niv is, above all, a dedicated student of yoga. For two years, she led Liberation Flow, a donation-based POC yoga collective in Seattle, with the mission of reclaiming the spiritual roots of yoga. Over the past five years, Niv has taught a variety of yoga styles and workshops, each designed to help participants deepen their understanding of yoga. Influenced by her training in vinyasa and yin yoga and her vipassana practice, Niv’s approach to yoga encourages students to engage with the spiritual dimensions of the practice.

Ifetayo Harvey will lead our cacao ceremony and cannabis circle. Ifetayo Harvey is the executive director of the People of Color Psychedelic Collective. Ifetayo is known for her sharp insights concerning the war on drugs’ impact on communities of color and her thoughtful approach to building capacity for people of color in the psychedelic field of study. In 2022, Open Society Foundations awarded Ifetayo the Soros Justice Fellowship. Whether keynoting a conference or speaking at a community event, Ifetayo advocates for intentional healing spaces for people of color and ending drug criminalization and the war on drugs. Ifetayo challenges psychedelic communities to unpack white supremacy and center the impacts of the war on drugs. She has a bachelor’s degree in history and African studies from Smith College.
